This Priority Programme seeks to connect research in phonology, phonetics, and adjacent psycho- and neurosciences in Germany. It seeks to advance these disciplines by the joint pursuit of interdisciplinary research questions.
There are two periods of funding, 2006–2009 and 2009–2012. During the first period, the German Science Foundation funded, across Germany, 18 interacting projects and during the second period 19 projects as well as a central project.
